The most famous image from the father of surrealism, Rene Magritte. The image was memorialized by the 1999 movie “The Thomas Crown Affair”. When asked about the painting in 1964, Magritte said, “Everything we see hides another thing, we always want to see what is hidden by what we see, but it is impossible. Humans hide their secrets too well….”
